This piece was originally painted for a special fundraising event, held by Rough Patch Counselling- A small counselling centre who's mission is to make it easier and more affordable for everyone to access mental health supports and resources.
The original of this painting was auctioned off to help raise funds for a new home for their wonderful team!
Nature and wildlife are my escape from life's many anxieties, and I chose to paint Gum blossoms and little buzzy bees for this very reason.
I love how our gum trees sway so gently and calmly in the breeze, and how they survive the toughest of conditions, all while attracting and being home to hundreds of gorgeous creatures.
And what better critters to feature than some of nature's tiniest team players? Hard workers, helping nature bloom and thrive. We all need little helpers like that from time to time.
This is a print of my original illustration, hand painted with gouache.
Printed in my studio on museum archival quality 100% cotton rag textured art paper, with archival pigmented inks, producing a print thats so vibrantly beautiful, it's guaranteed to brighten your day :)
